We can set sail to the Marine Protected Area of Tavolara Island and Cape Coda Cavallo for a weekend of total relax. The choice of a trip around Figarolo Island, Cape Figari and the area of Porto Rotondo and Porto Cervo in the famous Costa Smeralda will be suggested by the wind in harmony with what you desire to visit. La Maddalena’s Archipelago also hides enchanted corners of paradise that can only be reached by boat.

In the coastal waters of northeastern Sardinia, between the Archipelago of La Maddalena, the Emerald Coast and the islands of Tavolara and Molara, the sighting of wild dolphins is almost a constant, especially in spring and autumn. During July and August, however, the possibility of meeting them is greater in the early hours of the day and at sunset, when traffic of boats is less.

During our sailings, they usually swim on the wave created by the bow of the boat and are also attracted by the bulb, the cast iron counterweight that is underwater and that serves to counteract the weight of the emerged parts of the boat, preventing it from overturning. We don’t know exactly why, but this blue “torpedo’ attached under the keel intrigues and attract them. Thus we see them swimming, sinuously diving on one side and emerging on the other, as in an underwater choreography. The alternation in this game gives us the opportunity to see them closely, to film and photograph them with ease.
